We are pleased to have Sue Cochrane, our orthodontist, has over 20 years’ experience in this specialised area of dentistry. After graduating in dentistry in 1989 from University College Hospital, Sue spent an additional 3 years on a specialist orthodontic training programme at the Eastman Dental Institute to qualify as an orthodontist. She then spent a further 3 years of specialist training to become a hospital orthodontic consultant. She was appointed consultant at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital in 2001where she managed some of the more complex cases in orthodontics. She was also involved in the training of orthodontists up to consultant level. She now devotes her time entirely to specialist practice.

Sue provides high quality patient centred care with contemporary brace treatments that are aimed at creating confident smiles for patients of all ages. The key to successful orthodontic treatment is communication, so time is spent discussing all available treatment options employing the latest evidence-based principles.

She is able to offer a number of different appliances including aesthetic systems and is very happy to treat both simple and complex problems in adults and children. She is accredited to use Invisalign, Incognito and the Clarity systems. Most patients are referred by their dentists but we welcome self-referrals, many of which come through personal recommendations. Sue is also happy to see patients for consultations and second opinions and will help guide patients before they embark on their orthodontic journey.
